Three Instagram content ideas to lead with in 2024
Content ideas are always a highly-requested topic as small businesses struggle to please the algorithm, go viral, and maintain a consistent online presence.
The truth is, no “hack” can fix content that is weak to begin with, and you can’t control whether or not you go viral – but you can control whether your messaging is properly positioned to resonate with your intended audience.
But before we go into content ideas, please apply my Instagram cleanse routine to your account for simple improvements that will support your success in 2024.
Now, on to content!
1. Reintroduce yourself/your business: As simple as it sounds, a reintroduction reel is the complete package.
It can capture new audiences by telling them everything they need to know about you and WHY they need you, while reinforcing (or clarifying) your identity among current followers.
For best results, this reel should incorporate storytelling of how your brand came to be and use the language/terminology that your ideal audience also uses to position your service or product as a solution to their problem.
2. Repurpose best-performing content: A perfect example of working smarter, not harder!
Go into your Instagram insights and see what your audience and viewers engaged with most from the past 3 months, 6 months, or year!
I like to choose the top 3 posts or reels and recreate a new reel per post.
Clearly, the content resonated with viewers, so simply tweak the delivery of the topics to freshen them up – perhaps you can expand on a perspective or provide an update, etc.
3. Take your ideal audience along a recent or upcoming experience: Salesy content just doesn’t cut it anymore. How will you stand out from all the noise and competition on Instagram?
By bringing viewers along for YOUR unique experiences and interactions.
There may be thousands of businesses that offer similar products or services to you, but they don’t experience the exact same customer questions/concerns/requests or results as you.
Personalize your content by infusing your customer and business experiences/interactions through use of the green screen effect, a voiceover, your caption – there are so many ways to approach this!
Doing so can give audiences a better idea of how you conduct business, what it’s like to work with you, and what you can help them accomplish. This builds trust and establishes you as a credible expert in your industry.
