Simple tricks to improve your Instagram video quality

Video content is still king, but don’t let that stress you!

You can post high-quality content without needing expensive camera equipment.

Instagram has said they won’t prioritize content that’s low-quality or blurry, so here are a few simple (and mostly free) ways to improve your videos.

  1. Before recording, wipe your camera lens!!

  2. When it makes sense, record clips using your phone’s back-facing camera. For iPhone, change your camera settings for better quality with the steps I share in this reel.

  3. Always try to use natural lighting. If you don’t have any, this ring light or this portable selfie light are excellent!

  4. Transferring video files among team members? Use WeTransfer to maintain video quality.

  5. On Instagram, enable high-quality uploads. When you’re about to post, tap “Advanced Settings” and turn on “Upload at highest quality.”
