Three ways to use a digital planner to achieve structure on social media

Digital planners let you create, plan, and visualize your workflow, deadlines, goals, etc. in a convenient way that works for YOU and how you think and feel.

I collaborated with Yours Truly by K to create the Work Life Social planner for 2024, and I’m sharing a few examples of how this tool can be used to keep you structured and accountable on social media.

Keep in mind, everyone processes information differently, so adapt these examples to your lifestyle however works best for you!

Visualize your posting schedule

Too often, we want to post consistently but fail to adopt simple steps to support that goal.

Actually seeing your planned posting schedule is one easy way to get there!

In this example, I used an Instagram sticker from our Planner Hub (on the right) to mark all the days I plan to post if my goal is 3 posts per week.

Of course, you can go a step further and write in any national holidays, special dates, or content topics during the month as well.

Set your priority for each day

In this example, I use a few different stickers and widgets from the Planner Hub to effectively spread out my content creation process.

I find that batch creating content in segments (ex: record several reels in one sitting, write several captions in another sitting, etc.) is more productive for me than trying to complete ALL tasks in one sitting.

Some widgets, such as the caption writing widget I included, give you a template to use so you don’t have to start certain tasks from scratch.

I used the weekly view to show how you can break a task into small parts each day, but you can also apply this concept to your monthly calendar or daily view (if you prefer to create in the same day versus several days).

Customize each day based on your needs

If I decide to record a batch of content in one day, I may want to map out what that looks like.

Our digital planner starts as a blank canvas for you, but our various stickers and widgets are there to guide you as you determine what tasks and priorities you want to tackle.

In this example, I used a “Recording Checklist” widget from our Planner Hub. Since recording content is a focus of mine for this day, this widget is perfect as it lays out my top reminders for recording content.

And to show how customizable our planner is, I used a scrap sheet of paper sticker from the Planner Hub to write out my own reflection questions after recording.

There’s no right or wrong way to use a digital planner. If you’re strictly a text and bulleted lists type of person, then you don’t have to use any sticker, widget, or feature that doesn’t serve you.

If you’ve been unable to consistently show up for your business on social media, it may be time to look into what resources and systems you have (or don’t have) in place to actually support consistency.

Through this Friday, December 8th, we are running a special promo: Purchase our 2024 digital planner and receive a BONUS December ‘23 mini planner (so you don’t have to wait until January to start planning), plus 550+ stickers and widgets for your planner.
