The too-common mistake preventing you from being consistent on social media

As a business owner, you wear a lot of hats. It can be tough to keep up with all of your responsibilities, especially if you're also in charge of your social media presence.

That’s why it is crucial to have a strong system and structure in place to support your unique goals and capacity for social media.

I can’t tell you how often I get approached by business owners who feel overwhelmed and “all over the place” when it comes to social media.

The issue usually is NOT that they don’t have the expertise or motivation to succeed.

The issue usually IS that they “wing it” when it comes to content creation – putting them on a fast path to burnout.

Can you relate to this scenario?

You know you have to create social media content (and sometimes you might even feel motivated to do so)…

…but somewhere along the way you get overwhelmed by all the moving pieces that go into content creation that you start to resent the entire process (“why is this so time-consuming/difficult/discouraging?”) and end up not creating or posting anything at all.

This frustration can be reduced by incorporating a proper organization tool to manage, plan, and track your tasks

I’m familiar with many different tools and resources to stay organized and support social media efforts.

Some great options include project management tools such as AirTable and Asana (my personal favorite), and I’ve even had success with Google Sheets.

But in this blog post, I want to highlight the hidden gem that is digital planning.

A digital planner is an efficient, visual, and customizable way to streamline your workflow, plan your month, set priorities, stay on top of deadlines, and reach your goals.

Specifically for the world of social media, digital planners are a great way to set and visualize things like:

  • Content calendars (when and how many times to post per month)

  • Your monthly, weekly, and daily plans at a glance

  • Content ideas (by listing or drawing everything that comes to your mind)

  • General tasks, to-do’s, projects, and deadlines

  • Content and campaigns for upcoming dates and occasions

  • Social media goals, progress, and performance (by adding or dragging elements from your own social media like screenshots, etc.)

There is a flexibility and customizability to digital planners that helps you create, plan, and visualize in a convenient way that works for YOU and how you think and feel. You can even add and reuse stickers and widgets to maximize your productivity or creativity!

In fact, I find its flexibility so beneficial to business owners that I have teamed up with Yours Truly by K to create the Work Life Social Planner for business owners.

Launching December 1st

Launching December 1st ✨

This planner incorporates the many benefits of a typical digital planner, with the added (and much needed) support in content creation for business owners.

The Work Life Social Planner includes a variety of templates which allow you to pick among daily, weekly, and monthly calendars; to-do lists; and progress-tracking worksheets.

Our detailed social media templates will help you achieve a cohesive strategy and encourage content brainstorming and reflection. It also features personal life templates which allows you to track your financial goals, wellness goals, and more!

The feature we are most excited to introduce is the Planner Hub!

Consider this space as the command center for your running tasks, think pad, notes to self, etc. that can remain on your screen at all times (so you don’t have to worry about losing it as soon as you swipe away from your current page).

Our #1 priority was to create a strong foundation and toolbox that you can personalize to work for you.

We hope that the Work Life Social Planner will help you save time, reduce stress, and help you achieve your goals as it has helped us.

It will launch Friday, December 1st, and we have special limited-time offers to celebrate, including a launch day-only discount and some launch week bonuses.

Please visit our Work Life Social Planner page to learn more. Happy Planning!
